Starting Again

Ahhh it’s been a long time since I’ve graced my memoirs with the delights of modding.

Truth be told …I’m getting married and I’ve been down in London the last 7 months working for Miniclip – helping to code awesome things

I’m moving though – back to where I’m from – going to take a couple of months out to adjust to married life while learning c#.

Going to finish off HDTP once and for all and start a remake mod using unity3D (c# ).

Thank you for all your continued support – I was very surprised to see people still cared!

12 Years Too Much

I read today on the BBC technology news page that Duke Nukem Forever developer, 3D Realms, was closed down today. I must admit that I was shocked when I read the news. I shouldn’t have been really considering that they were working on DNF for the last 12 years which in all fairness is a tad excessive for any title – given that money needs to be made at some point. Hey – don’t get me wrong – HDTP is on year 7 so I’m not one to talk! But – it’s always sad to hear a veteran game company dissappear into the ether.

HDTP Status

I’m pleased to say that Deus Ex HDTP is almost complete. DDL is helping to keep tabs of all the new work and making sure it gets tested and packaged up. The weapons are down to the last 4 left to texture (all modelling is done). I have personally textured the Flamethrower which I haven’t posted an image of yet so stand by for that one. I’ve also finished the ammo box textures. Erica is kindly picking up the crossbow and Dicky (from the Stellar mod) is doing an amazing job on the brand new Gray that Ben modelled a while back.

It’s a strange thing, time. Time seems to just go on in a rather monotonous fashion forever until a certain event happens and *bang*, it moves into hyper-speed. I guess hitting the final 10% mark qualifies as such an event.

We have officially announced that we are the development team behind Deus Ex: HDTP.

We have just completed an exclusive interview for the deadpixelpost.

Following the hacker attack (bastard) in Janurary I have only now had opportunity to re-establish Emmersive Studios. It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the home of all things immersive!
